Somehow the dishwasher got hosed. It will fill up with water but won’t drain. The repair came last week and said it was a bad circuit board. I told him it didn’t seem like a bad circuit board because everything electrical worked fine, it seemed mechanical. He orders the new circuit board, installs it and nada. What is he doing now? Taking it apart and looking for something mechanically wrong. Duh..

I was so impressed with Maverick tonight at baseball. He was 4/4, got a pitched hit each time at bat. Yesterday we took him to a batting cage to get some bp and it paid off. He was hitting 40 mph balls in the cage which made tonight’s balls seem like nothing. He’s fielding and throwing like he’s ready for the next level which he’ll be next year. We’re considering putting him in a serious league like Rolling Park or Parkville. I want to be careful not to push him too hard but I will certainly provide him options and resources. I bought a bucket of baseballs so I can take him to the diamond in the evenings at let him hit. At the batting cage they have hitting instructors for hire. I wish I had taken the video camera with me tonight but I forgot.
Shane on the other hand is a goofball. He’s doing what a typical four year old should be I assume. When he gets to base he sits and plays in the dirt or messes around with one of the fielders from the other team.
We celebrated Mother’s Day this year by taking my wife to the Maryland Zoo to see the baby elephant and to Cafe Hon for dinner.
We finished the Zoo just in time before the rain started. All day it was overcast and the tempature was cool. Perfect weather for the Zoo. So many times we’ve been there when it was blistering hot and that’s the worst place IMHO to be when it’s like that. The baby elephant was about 3′ high! I don’t know why I was expecting bigger. We had just missed the bring him out into the elephant area by 15 minutes but were able to get sneak peeks from on a hill into the private area. I felt like papparazzi when using zoom to get pics and vid clips of him.
Two times this week I stopped at one of those automated blood pressure machines. The first one, earlier in the week, said it was pre-hypertension. Tonight’s said the top is “stage 1 hypertension” and the bottom is “stage 2 hypertension over 100″. I don’t smoke (anymore..since 12/2005) and rarely drink. I wonder if it’s perhaps my thyroid hormone replacement drugs or are my arteries fuckered.

Remember Jim McGreevey? He was the N.J. Governor that converted to gheyism and resigned in disgrace in 2004. Look how Jim McGreevey and Elliot Spitzer have almost identical ties and the women are wearing almost the same suit. I don’t have anything else to add, just thought it was eerie.
“Smell my breasts”. These were the words of my innocent little four year old tonight after brushing his teeth. I wish there was more I could say/write but I think he said it all in those three words.
The knowledge that makes us cherish innocence makes innocence unattainable.

This has been a quick week! It seems like we just got here and it’s already time to go home in a couple days. Taking three young children through Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Downtown Disney is quite a feat. Tomorrow it’s going to be in the mid 80s and we’re going to take advantage of it by going to typhoon lagoon.
I have a whole bunch of pictures (bout 2,000 give or take) but forgot to bring a usb cord to transfer them to the computer to upload. Some I’ve taken with my iphone and those can be seen on the Photos page.
I added a “Photos” page that you can find in the upper right hand corner. I’ll be posting live, pretty much as soon as I take them. I know a lot of them are meaningless to most but it’s my blog and it’s a good way to share with my family and friends all the dorky stuff I like to. So, enjoy or don’t.
